Dialing out vs. dialing in
We are relentless in our pursuit of better data capture. Intellifuel captures your data correctly, at the source, the first time. Our customers have found that our approach of capturing their data at the site and pushing to out to our national network of local phone numbers is more reliable and durable than dialing into a site and trying to pull the data out. As an example, if you dial into an ATG, you have two choices:
1. Use a dedicated phone, which costs about $45 per month per site, or
2. Use a line sharing device, which introduces complexity and decreases the durability of the solution.
Also, if you want to capture meter (sales) data, you will not be able to dial in and retrieve it. It is far better to receive actual sales data rather than deriving it from inventories and what the ATG reports for deliveries. And you can make shift and closing journals available online for your dealers through our Shared Conversation technology, so we can automate their store reports and provide you the needed data elements required for commissioned agent settlement and more.
